It’s one thing to offer lucrative benefits that highly skilled talent will sign on for; it’s another thing to get employees to use them. Microsoft asked DCG ONE to raise awareness of its employee benefits program and inspire exploration and use of the full suite by its U.S. workforce.
Microsoft believes there’s tremendous value in its benefits for all its employees. Generous company benefits are what make the software giant unique in the highly competitive talent community. But with a huge portion of its 120,000-strong US employees working remotely, this campaign would take more than a break-room poster.
After extensive employee research, DCG ONE developed a strategy for Microsoft benefits sharing to US employees. Our work included core evergreen branding, visual expression, as well as seasonal activations, spanning new employee orientation, health and wellness programs and challenges, and retirement planning. We made sure the framework was segmented, actionable, and mission-forward, so employees could understand not only what the benefits were but also how to access them and, most importantly, how they could use them to meet their personal goals both on and off campus.
Leveraging the brand for targeted campaigns, we saw strong evidence that Microsoft employees felt positive perceptions of both the benefits package and their employer.
